No Suitable Decoder Found

After the last update I'm getting this message on many of my older Dreams.  I am on Windows 7 x64.  They have always worked fine before.  Can anybody help?  Thanks.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Do a couple things .

1 - Update your Codes , I use https://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm

2 - Change your setting in Deskscapes 10 as shown below

in Performance there are 2 Direct Show settings try both it needed .

in Advance tab change to Max.

Reboot and test and report back if that now works for you ,

Thanks,

Sorry.  "Loading background preview" now doesn't load.  I am now getting either a white or black "wallpaper" and no Dreams will change.  I have done all according to your instructions.  Thanks.

By the way, choosing a still wallpaper works fine.  Nothing animated works though.  MPEG Videos are working.

One monitor.  1920x1080.  100%.

Only the MPEG Videos work.  Something about the batch file name was invalid.

When applied manually in DS or when using 'Random backgrounds"

From within DS or Windows itself?

What does 'animated' mean to you - what, if not the (MPEG) videos, do you mean?

Something about the batch file name was invalid.

Can you be more specific? What do you get if you run it again?

Could you upload a video of what is happening to a cloud drive (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox) and posed a share link here?

Manually.  I do not use "random".

DS.

Dreams do not work except for MPEG.

On another subject, do you have plans to upgrade to Windows 10 in the near future?

I have done all of these steps.  It used to be a Windows Update problem where you could delete the update that was causing the problem.  I have purchased most of the Master Dreams available.  Let me guess:  No refunds.
