Problem with launching games

from Stardock Forums

Anyone have a fix for  some of my games not opening when I have windowsblinds on? I've seen the issue with black ops 3 where the games tried to do the load screen and then crashes to desktop. I've tried excluding both black ops 3 and steam with the issue not being resolved.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Almost certainly, with those type games (competitive shooters) its the result of their included anti-cheat mechanics / software.  They see WB (and many other apps) as cheats.

Doesn't make sense because I'm not even online and the game crashes before I can get to the menu. Is there any fix?

Why does it not make sense?  Any anti-cheat software would run when the game was launched regardless if you were online or not.

You could set the WB service to manual, log out of Windows (dont believe a reboot would be required), and log back in:

The solution I gave you is the best way to work around the anti-cheat software and still easily be able to use WB when you are not playing said games.
