Is it possible to organise Fenced icons so they can be grouped with gaps between them rather than having them all shuffle and organise together automatically?
i.e. more like the Desktop where icons can be freely arranged and grouped.
There is no option to turn "off" the icon from organise itself to top left at this moment. But, I have forwarded your request to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, Thanks.

It would offer greater flexibility....
If, for example, I'm designing a web site for a customer then it would be very handy to be able to Fence relevant materials and have control over how they are arranged inside the Fence.

I have a solution for you. It is a very simple hack although a bit laborious (some [including myself] would even call it cumbersome). The solution is in a post I am referencing below.
Your request is very reasonable and useful. After all, that is how we all organize the icons in our desktops. We use Fences only to put a "fence" around them and facilitate moving them around as a group as well as minimizing a given group of icons.

Being that Fences have been around for so long and gone through several versions, I would have expected this to be a basic feature.
From programming standpoint, it seems like at the core of a Fence is a folder object that has been modified to look and behave in a certain way. So, it would seem trivial to add that functionality. In some earlier versions of Windows, Fences was unnecessary since you could create a folder on the desktop, then dump some shortcuts inside that folder, and you could later open that folder (or keep it always open) and your shortcuts would stay distributed inside the folder in any way you had freely arranged them (yes, including spaces in between them), so long as the auto-arrange option was disabled on that folder. Windows would automatically remember for that folder whether the navigation panel was on or off, the size of the window, etc. Some of this is still possible but it requires registry edits.
