Password Protecting or locking settings

Hi everyone

I plan to use ObjectDock in a shared computer environment and would like to know if there is any way to lock the settings (prevent people from changing anything in the settings menus) or simply prevent access to the settings menu altogether.

Thank you.

Hello,

Would like to know what Windows version your are planning to run ObjectDock?

Thank you,

In the end, we will be having a Windows 10 Enterprise Edition tablet mounted on a forklift. The ObjectDock bar will have shortcuts to applications that forklift drivers should use as part of their job (warehouse management, forklift inspection, etc).

I have found ObjectDock to be more customizable than a regular Windows taskbar.

ObjectDock is not optimized for Win 10 so some things may not work or not at all. Having said that if you right click on the dock and choose Position at the bottom there is Lock dock and Lock icons.

Please note that ObjectDock is not supported for Windows 10 system.

Thank you,

Thank you for this reply. This has actually already been done.

The next step for me is preventing anyone (except my team) from adding/removing icons or changing any settings on the dock so that the next guy using the forklift will find it exactly how it was when he last saw it.

I can downgrade the tablets to Windows 7/8 if this is what is needed, but I don't think the Windows version being used has any impact on the initial question.
