Move Desktop files and Stardock backups from one PC to new PC --restored Fences, but files not in fences

I recently moved Fences backups and all the desktop files from one PC to a New PC. I see the Files on the Desktop, I was able to restore the Desktop. The 6 Fences are all there and in the right place and right size BUT all the files are just sitting on the desktop --not in the Fences. The customized Fences are all empty. Is there certain order of steps? Are the files tagged in some way? Did I need to restore the Debug folder as well?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and ask if the files were shortcuts? And if so, were they on a different drive letter than they are now?

 

That might be one explanation, but I'm not support. Just an old fart trying to help.

I think I figured it out ---all the files are showing paths in the ICONS folder in the registry. Since it's a different new PC if any part of the path is different, I had to do a Find and Replace so the new path (in this case re-directed Desktop folder to a new Server) matched properly.

Anyway, that's how I fixed it: exported Icons reg folder, Find and Replace All for the paths, then deleted original Icons folder and merged in the new corrected ICONS reg folder.
