Suggestion/idea BOX...

...I dunno if anyone has thought of some ideas but I figured I'd make a thread for it.

Just please try to stay on the postive side if you have a suggestion...starting out with a complaint and not giving a valid solution is not really helpful to anyone and only makes things veer to the negative and I think nobody needs that. Right? Don't bite, I'm tender.

Anyhoo, I had a...suggestion/question...

I was wondering if perhaps in the future it will be possible to edit our own messages on the main page of our skins? Sometimes a situation will crop up and then an artist/skinner must re-upload the whole she-bang just to sometimes change a few sentences on the main skin's comments.

Also...the "fix thumbnails" doesn't seem to work for me...is anyone else having that prob and if so will this be made to work soon?

Also...regarding the 're-upload' thing...this wouldn't probably be a big deal for someone with DSL or a high speed connection but I'm still on a clunky 56k so it's a major pain in the hassle at times.

-but don't take that as complaining...just lamenting my own personal sitch.

I have a suggestion. Could you guys fix the 'Upload/Edit Desktop Image'. I can never get it to work right. Also, wondering if you guys will ever fix the WC Browser, sometimes I really think it has a mind of it's own! Yea, those are my 'suggestions', I wish I could help you guys in fixing it, but alas my knowledge of ASP is not much.

Hus, the upload/edit always works for me...the only thing that is strange is once the new image is upped it only shows the 'old' previous image with the new 'comment' but if I then hit the refresh button it then shows/reveals my new image.

Try that out and see if it works for you

What happens to me Shmoopy, is that when I upload the image, it leads to a 500-error. ASP bug of some-sort. Wierd thing is, when I go back and refresh the page, the image gets uploaded but the comments to not. Strange, huh?

I would like to suggest that all new additions go at the top of the 'New Additions' list. Sometimes walls will show up way down on the list or maybe not at all if they were in moderation for a while. This would help keep people from missing some of the new walls.

You don't have to re-upload the whole thing, just edit your comment, and click submit.

 

I would like to suggest that all new additions go at the top of the 'New Additions' list.

How about an "ALL SEARCH". If you want to put a particular theme together you have to search each group for a skin name. An "ALL SEARCH" would search all skin groups.

/me had another idea...well...one that's actually been brewing in my brain for a while now.

Well, I was thinking...well you know how we now have a "thread watch" available to us thanks to the hard work of T-man and crew? Well...I was wondering if it would be possible to have an "artist/skinner" watch so we can be alerted either by email or when we log-on if our favorite skinners/artists have recently uploaded something new?

I *know* I can keep a link to a skinner's 'skins' library but some of them have such extensive libraries that to just download that page to see if something new is there is a pain in and of itself (on a 56k anyway).

-Might be more of a pain than it's worth but I know I have a few favorite skinners and artist that I'd like to keep watch on.

Man...I love this edit tool...

If you click the link 'Library' where you see all the listed libraries...you have a search box on that page. It will search all libraries at one shot. Very useful.

How about a "Watch Thread" button on the skin comments? I think that it would be handy to be able to recieve email when someone comments on your new skin. How does that sound?

This isnt really a suggestion, but I noticed that my voter thinger at the side of the site wont work. I can vote but it wont show me the results. It just comes back up so I have to choose an option again. Just something I noticed.
