Latest Windows 10 Update Causes Windows 10 to CRASH

Windows Version: 1803 (OS Build 17134.590)

Hello, Since my most recent Windows 10 Update a few days ago, Deskscapes now causes a Blue Screen of Death - namely a "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" StopCode!  I've run diagnostics on everything and when I stop using the Dream files (animated) in Deskscapes, the errors stop. So, for some reason, Deskscapes has somehow "broken" due to the recent Windows 10 update.

Quite annoying, hopefully, Stardock has taken to task on this to get a fix in the works!

If anyone else has had this issue, please post!

You should consider upgrading your Win 10 version to 1809. Win 10 version 1803/04 have issues when running certain SD software due to conflicts between apps. I had to upgrade for that very reason.

Reboot and ReInstall the latest version from your account 8.51.

Also I would update your Codecs , I use the K-Lite Mega pk. https://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

Reboot , test and report back here.

Are you using a single monitor at HD resolution ?

and your still on 1803 ? 1809 is the latest version.

Hi there, the BAT file will not download, at least not right now (at this hour).  Took forever to update Windows 10 to 1809.

I'll try again later.

BTW, dual monitor setup. Never had trouble before. Now when the Deskscapes runs, I only get black screens.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Dual Monitor set up is a known issue and is being work on

Try starting your 2 monitors at 1920x1080 resolution to start

then try a dream .

I set them both to the same, and it works - I truly hope they are planning on releasing an update soon, they've known about this since October 2018 from what I can see. I know before I updated to the recent update, it was working fine, then all of a sudden it didn't.

I have the same issue since a recent windows update dreamscapes just goes to a black screen I have updated all my codecs and set my resolution to 1920x 1080x and this is not fixing it at all. Please help

This is a known issue and is being looked into at this time .

I have tried this as well still goes to a black screen when I apply to all my monitors.

the lack of information is disturbing. we're now constantly redirected to a post in a closed thread that basically says "we know" .. and thats it.

I noticed that if you hit the Task View button on your taskbar then the Dreamscape works, but you will have your history of the screen.
