make grouping delayed

Bought it today - love it.  I do find the drop on other titlebars too sensitive.  I am now ungrouping as much as grouping.   How about an option with a "x second" delay before the grouping background drop thing appears.  So if that isn't clear, I would like to have to hover over a titlebar while dragging a window for a couple seconds before the option to  group appears.

Thanks

After about 2 weeks of using Groupy I love it.  It seems like it is part of Windows.

That said - it is extremely irritating when you have a lot of windows open to navigate through the "hot drop" window targets when moving a window.   I am dragging windows in and out of groups all the time as they are inadvertently combined.   I assumed I would get used to this but 2 weeks and I still do it...

How about simply making a timed delay before the drop target "insert into group" appears?  That momentary pause shows the user is clearly trying to group.   I tried using the existing "if CTRL is pressed", but I find myself forgetting that groupy  is there when working.

The "Only group when Ctrl is held down" option solved unintended grouping beautifully for me. But I can understand how it might lead to forgetting to use Groupy. Your timed delay idea would be another great option—as long as they make it optional. Being able to choose from 0 to 3 seconds delay would be the ultimate.

A timed delay is under consideration for a future update.

Thank you.  I've had to stop using Groupy.  I have a 34" monitor and always have alot of windows to manage.  The magnetic attraction is very frustrating.  I switched to CTRL but I guess I don't have the muscle memory to remember it works...

I have Groupy set so that windows only get grouped when I hold down the shift key.  I have had zero problems with it and find it a real enhancement to Windows.  :)

We have just added the delayed grouping option requested in this thread to Groupy 1.2

And it works great!   Feels like part of Windows.
