Is the license fee a perpetual one time charge or are there any recurring costs? Are upgrades to new versions and releases included in the license fee?

As far as I know, its one time charge and you can use it for life. And all update within same version numbers is free. example. 3.44->3.45->3.5 etc etc. But you will be charge for upgrade, with a discount in some cases, when there is a different version number such as, for example, 3.xx->4.xx->5.xx etc etc.
