Exclude grouping when a key is held down

In my case, I have the default setting in Groupy for some applications to group automatically, which is what I need most of the time, but there are times when I don't want to automatically group and in that case, is there key combination (preferably only 1 key) I could use to prevent/exclude automatic grouping while opening an application window. If not, then it would be very useful to have such a pre-defined or user-defined key combination that will prevent/exclude opened application from auto grouping. Basically, don't group if a certain key is held down. This is opposite of the existing settings in Groupy which allow grouping only when a certain key is held down. Please let me know.
