Multiple issues with steam version

I recently bought the steam version on humble bundle, however I am having a wide array of issues with the software.

As a forward, I succesfully have connected both computers with your software - they both use static internal ip's and both run on windows 10 for workstation. The software has been installed for no more than an hour.

1. Switching between computers seems to work on a fluke at best, I have ensured there is no limits - I should be able to simply move across the screen.

2. When I succesfully switched to the secondary pc and back to the primary, the primary seems to miss its "normal" cursor -- the cursors for loading, clickable content, etc, work fine, however the normal pointer simply vanishes.

3. I seem to have a "non responding" full screen application every now and then since installing the software, it turns my screen either entirely white or black while the cursor switches to "loading" as it would with a program that is not responding. This **could easily** be caused by other software on my computer, however its only been happening since I installed the software.

4. A general issue with the steam version vs. humble bundle claims, you can't launch any steam app on two computers at once - making me either have to go in offline mode or use the start menu icon -- I am asking if this is going to run me into issues with the license, like do you require steam to be open to confirm the applications legitimacy?

Thanks in advanced! Have a great day!

My computer bluescreened, odly enough after that the software began working just fine! I still would like to know about #4 though! Thanks!

You should not, no.

The issues in 1-3 have started up again, it seems that multiplicity crashes somehow and makes the cursor invisible on the main computer while not allowing access to the second computer. I used mousewithoutborders for years with no issues. I am hoping someone else has run into this problem and can help because at this point, even with all benifits over the microsoft version of this, I need one that works for me. I would rather not switch back to the other so I am open to any help at all please!

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Its very rare and usually seen when 1 of the PCs being switched from / to is under heavy stress.  The fix is rather simple, however.

From Windows search, type main.cpl, on the Pointers Schema selection, change it to any other, apply and it should resolve it.  You can change it back after.

3. I seem to have a "non responding" full screen application every now and then since installing the software,

There has never been a similar report that I can recall

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I figured out how to fix the cursor once it dissapears, and the issues seem to have resolved themselves yet again. It happened for hours, and all the issues seemed to be related

1. I'd move my mouse to the secondary pc succesfully and then back

2. I would not be able to move to the secondary pc

3. I'd try to move back, my mouse would dissapear.

4. The fullscreen app would freeze then after a few moments dissapear (which I was able to determine was a multiplicity application -- saw the icon in a brief instance) -- also unable to alt tab (my keyboard would change rgb due to the profile of the application, meaning that behind the fullscreen crash (black screen with only my mouse) the windows were switching)

5. My mouse would not reappear, however stopping the multiplicity service would OCCASIONALLY make the mouse show back up.

6. Changing the cursor fixes the mouse issues

A few things to note: you said high stress -- I am doing storage managment atm and many dozens of 7zip instance are running and compressing files. I would like to note that the functionality is back to normal since many of the 7zip instances finished.

Do you have any plans to fix the issues with high stress environments? This rig is ran 24/7 and hosts multiple servers along with gaming and development -- same with the second rig.

A 'fix' is not really what is needed here as any app on a PC under heavy stress would / does also succumb under such circumstances.  Perhaps a better 'recover from' process is more appropriate - one I will recommend internally.
