Groupy breaking Alt+Tab

Hi, I notice that when in a group, Alt+Tab tabs between the grouped windows only, not none grouped windows. So for example, if I have Word open not grouped and Excel open not grouped, Alt+Tab will switch between them fine. If I have Word open not grouped and 3 Excel windows grouped, when I Alt-Tab from Word to Excel, Alt-Tabbing in Excel, does not take me back to Word, but locks me in a cycle of tabbing through the Excel tabs. I don't need it to do that because we have Win+~ to cycle through the tabs only.

Thanks,

Steve

Groupy alt + tabbing works the same as if Groupy was not there.  In your example, if your first selection was an Excel tab, then a second Excel tab in the same group - if you Alt + Tabbed, it would go to the First Excel tab as it was the one prior.

What you may be thinking that Groupy sees itself as an app that can be tabbed to, it does not - it treats each app as they would be ungrouped for Alt + Tabbing.

@Sean, yours seems to work the correct way. Mine does not, so something is different. I have Win7. On my computer, when I press and hold Alt+Tab (and ignoring the fact that the selection goes round in circles!), the current window is shown at the front of the line and the next window is shown to the right. In your case, the next window is the previous window. In my case, the next windows are the windows in the group, not previous window.

So in the example below, I have Word and 3 Excels open. I click on Book2 first, then click on Word. I then press Alt+Tab once back to Book2. I then press Alt+Tab once again and instead of going back to Word, I go to Book4. At that point, you can see in the alt tab popup that the 3 Excel windows are together, instead of Word being first in the list. I then continue to Alt-Tab and I am taken from Book4 to Book3 and back to Book4.

Hmmm, it would seem to be a Win7 thing as I can repro it here...

It's not that you can't get to it with Alt + Tab, it's just not in the tab order it should be.

I'll bug it internally, thanks for the catch and feedback.

I am having the same problem as stevetowner.  Alt-tab only displays the active tab. It does not display other running apps that have been docked to the tabs. I'm more dependant on Alt-tab so I can't use Groupy.

Windows 10 Enterprise 1703.
