Expiration?

what?

I first purchased Object Desktop on july 2016 and used fences since then without problems.

Now I reinstalled windows and while trying to download Object Desktop again it says "Expired" ?!?!

Expired what??? While purchasing nobody told me it was a time limited license so I thought it was, as it should, lifetime!

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, as far as I remember, ObjectDesktop is always a subscription package. You can refer to its page at https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/ there is a section showing/hinting it as a subscription. And a Renew button.

But all the software you download while your subscription still valid can still be use. Provided that you did back up that installation files with you.

So I can't use my purchased software just because I don't have original setup files?

It's 2018 and this marketing solution belongs to 1900 ages....

Are you sure nobody could provide me with setup files suitable for my licences?

Hello,

It looks like your annual Object Desktop suite access has lapsed: *07/31/2017*

Object Desktop is a membership to a suite of Stardock products. When a membership lapses, retrieval of the products in that suite is not permitted until a membership is renewed. Any back-ups of the installers you may have would still work. Also, activation will also still work for them.

That said, you do qualify for a notable discount for renewal as a prior Object Desktop customer. Please follow the link below for details:

https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/odrenew.asp

Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any additional questions.

I was, "Deceived," as well. I had no idea that I had a timer on my downloads!

I bought Object Desktop and then only used two programs thinking I would download as needed.

Now I have to buy it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To me if I wanted to subscribe in a year (upgrades) there would be a cost.

I'm off.

No offence, but I don't want to pay another subscription for any other software expecially for these jingle-jangle applications.

I payed somewhat 5$ for a genuine windows 10 licence, and I'm not going to pay for a cosmetic application more than one time.

I can definitely live without it.

Good bye

Ditto!

FYI: Worse yet, I changed themes on my installed Window Blinds today (had not looked at it in a year) and it crashed my computer removing my password! I had to get a new MS Account password as I was still unable to log into my account. Hours later I logged in with my admin account and uninstalled Window Blinds and was then finally able to log back into my original account. What a nightmare. Thanks Stardock. Of course no support number to call.

And Stardock has the juevos to ask for more money to upgrade? They should be paying me for lost time. Now I am reading that Window Blinds has issues with Win 10, after the fact!

I'm also very disappointed, been a loyal Stardock fan for years.  After a bad windows update had to reinstall OS and lost some data, did not have my Object Desktop suite backed up.(did not think i had to sense they keep all my games and software on there site) do not think i'll be buying from them again, the information seems misleading to me....sad :(
