Paste problematic with MSFT OneNote, other apps

copy-paste into a a OneNote note often fails

After purchasing & installing Start10 & Object Desktop (and rebooting), most apps behave well for typical Windows mouse and click gestures.  However, after placing the arrow cursor (text cursor then appears) into a pre-existing type-in field in a OneNote note, neither [right-click]+[Paste] nor [Ctrl]+"V" will actually do a paste.  The clipboard CAN be pasted into other apps (like NotePad), with expected text.  SOMETIMES, iconizing the OneNote window, and then re-attempting the paste will succeed.

I'm at a loss to identify any difference in gesture or key-hit between times it works, and times it doesn't.

I am running the UWA version of OneNote Version 16001.10730.20033.0.

Window Blinds ver. 10.65 (048 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit build 1809  version 17758.1

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

After purchasing & installing Start10 & Object Desktop

While Start10 is an actual app, 'Object Desktop' is not - its a collection of apps.  If you believe one of them is the culprit, we would need to know what one you uninstall that makes the issue not happen.

Thanks for the clarification.  The problem app is Window Blinds.

With a skin applied, using OneNote UWP version, I can Ctrl + V paste into fields as show here:

If I am not doing something you are, or have something else wrong, please send a video of what is missing.

Hmm. When I attempt the same thing, I usually get no action at all on a [Ctrl]+V.  Any suggestion how I can get other, more useful diagnostic info?

It just feels like there is a third party app involved.  You could try the 'clean boot' to test that:
