Not able to manipulate bottom row of icons in 9 x 13 fence

Hi,

I am on Windows 10, on a 1920x1080 desktop, latest version of fences and I am experiencing the following issue:

I have a fence that is 9 icons wide / horizontal and 13 icons long.

The bottom row of icons can't be manipulated as it should.

Example: Let's say I try to move an icon on the bottom row one or two spots to the left, the icon isn't moved to the left but is added to the row above.

This fence is also the fence were new icons are auto placed, well, that doesn't work as it should either, they too are no longer added to the bottom row but to the row above.

You may think the bottom row is no longer part of the fence, I made a fence in a fence or auto arrange is on.....no.

If I add icons to the last row I can still manipulate, icons do move to the bottom row, being pushed there due to lack of space.

If I move the fence all icons move with it as they should.

I'm at a loss.

Is 9 x 13 some sort or limit, or is this a bug?

Hope someone can (and will) help.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Would like to know more.

1) Windows Version?

2) Fences Version?

3) Icon size set. Could you set it to Medium Icons and see if the problem still there. To set it right click anywhere on the desktop -> view -> choose "Medium Icons"

Thank you for the reply.

Windows 10, latest version 1803, build 17134.285

Fences, latest version 3.0.9.11

When I switch to medium icons (larger then they were set to initially) the problem gets worse and it changes to the last 3 rows not being maneuverable.

It seems that the problem occurs when there are 13 or more icons vertically or the total number of icons gets too high (currently around 117 for that fence)

Hello,

While it is rare to see, there may be some sorting issues with Fences that contain over 80 icons.  We do not often see clients that have over that, but it is being looked at.

Thank you for the reply Sean.

Hope you can find a solution.

I agree that my collection of icons has grown a bit out of proportion, but somehow I like all my icons to be on the desktop, being able to see all my software in a single glance.

But that's just me.
