SCCM Package Creation

Need Command line options to install/uninstall Fences3

Hi,

I am creating a SCCM package to install/uninstall Fences3.

Can someone help me with command line install/uninstall commands to customise the installation with license embedded?

Please help.

Thanks,

Prashant

Hello,

This is what I would send someone that purchased a SHLS (Stardock Hosted License Server) from us - it will answer what you are asking.  If you have questions about the batch files, ask - I wrote them.

Hello,

Your Stardock Hosted License Server has been created.

Email: EMAIL
Product key: PRODUCTKEY

It has PASTE_QTY concurrent activations associated with it.

You need to edit the appropriate batch file (below) to include the email address and key (noted where in the bat file).

There are two scenarios for deployment:
-Attended Deployment: The app needs to be installed and activated without an automated deployment model managed by you.
-Unattended Deployment: One that is automated, the app is already installed, but just needs to be activated once deployed.

::Attended Deployment

http://sd.stardock.com/Support/LicenseServer/Corp%20Installer%20Bats/Fences3SLS_setup.zip

The bat file must be run from the same folder as the accompanying installation exe.

This could be used in an unattended deployment model but UAC would have to be turned to 'Never Notify' (that would be unusual).

::Unattended Deployment

If you have an automated deployment model, or you are in a VDI / Citrix environment, the app should already be installed but NOT activated. Activation MUST happen on the client.

Also included is a deactivation batch file - this is particularly useful (if not imperative) in Citrix \ VDI environment where the instance are created and destroyed with each log on and off.

::Web-based License Management

Should you need to, you can see how many PCs are activated per key and deactivate any you know to be ghosts (no longer in service). Example:

Let me know if you have any questions.

There is no mention of how to uninstall the application through command line.
End of Prashant_90's quote

Deactivation (should be done first):
http://sd.stardock.com/Support/LicenseServer/Corp%20Installer%20Bats/SD_DeactAll.zip

Uninstall:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences\uninstall.exe" /s /noreboot /u:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences\uninstall\uninstall.xml"

And you are welcome, Prashant_90
