Problems After Uninstall

I had to uninstall WindowBlinds because Windows 10 Task View is broken but when I uninstall, system colors (For example, text highlight color) don't revert back to windows 10 default. How do I fix this?

I'm not looking to reinstall. I'd like the program removed and all residual effects cleaned up. A purge and reinstall did nothing. Task view is still messed up.

That's what the PURGE does ............ different than a regular uninstall.

Did you do the Purge ?

I'm not a technical SD person so this is a suggestion only and you can decide what you wish to try or do.

Do the purge as advised and reboot. I have however heard about the color situation in the past. Before you uninstalled WindowBlind if you didn't apply the "Default Theme" it may cause this situation. If you did apply it forget the below.

IF after the purge and reboot you still have this problem you may want to try this. Install Windowblinds again. Make sure you have the "Default Theme" applied. Even if it looks like it is Applied make sure you apply it again. Close windowblinds again and do the purge again, reboot.

When I apply the default theme, the text highlight color is still not like stock windows 10. I don't want to have to edit the registry to fix this

Hi,

I'm having an issue as well.     I've done all the steps above, but, Window blinds seems to have left some 'adjustment' behind.

One is that I cannot see anything high lighted in my web browser address bar.  (Chrome).   Also, some programs have been visually altered.   I have screen cap one such program.   I've done everything, purge, reinstalled, set the default, etc..

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry to hear you having issues. What you can try is this. Reinstall Windowblinds. Than use the purge part of this step to clean up everything with regards of Windowblinds. https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#reinstalling

Make sure to reboot after the purge.

Thank you,

Yeah, I did try that...

Though, I did manage to get it restore it.   I just picked a new windows theme (in Windows 10), and that seemed to return everything back to normal.
