Change icon size default

Hi there,

Every time I go into a folder on Fences, the icons are set to 'Medium'. My desktop default icon size is 'classic', but this is ignored. So as it stands, I have to change the icon size manually for every new portal folder, and every subfolder within. These changes are remembered, but it's a pain having to do it manually every time.

Is there any way I can set this as a default? I can't see anything in the settings.

Apols if this is really obvious or has been dealt with previously - I've searched around and can't find the answer.

Thanks!

Hello,

I think you can adjust those Icons size on each individual portal fence just by point your mouse at it and press CTRL and mouse wheel up or down to adjust the icons size. And I believe that size will stay until you change it again.

Thank you,

When I change my icon size with CTRL + mouse wheel, I have to refresh the folder to get it to remember the icon size I picked.

Is this a bug?

Nope, on my system the size stays, even after rebooting. No need to refresh folders. But if you goes into a folder than its a different story.

thanks basj but my problem is not resizing in individual portals. It's that every window defaults to the wrong size (medium) and I don't want to have to change each one individually. I'd like it to be the right size by default i.e. classic - the same as my default icon setting on my desktop.

I think that falls on a feature request, unless I am wrong, I don't think Fences can do that now.

I have forwarded your request to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, Thanks.

I did some more testing, as it turns out you have to click on the portal background or refresh after changing the icon size to get the icon size to actually stick...

When portal background is not clicked and not refreshed after changing icon size, (notice the icon size does not stick when re-entering folder).

Hi,

Whenever I control click over a fence and scroll the mouse wheel, actually ALL the fences' icons get little and small not just the one I'm in.

I tried to drag one down to the bottom of the screen to enable the roll up fence- a not so great location because it's covered by the task bar. I'm not able to access that fence anymore lol. It's always covered by the task bar and nothing I did with the taskbar settings about automatically hiding would make it disappear.

    I'm running windows 10 Pro.

Also note: Most of my fences have a name that covers the horizontal space of the fence. Therefore double clicking teh fence to make it roll up is impossible- it just selects the title for editting.
