[BUG] PowerShell and Command Prompt tabs behave incorrectly

Hello,

When I open PowerShell and hit the new tab button, the new PowerShell tab opens in a new window (not grouped) and doesn't have any of my settings. I believe that Groupy is detecting that it is a different application and so it isn't grouping it by default.

To reproduce:

- Open powershell and change your settings (font or colors for example)

- Hit the new tab button and notice that none of your settings are in the new tab

If I open more new tabs off of the new powershell tab, they are grouped correctly and keep their settings.

I am using Groupy v1.16.

Thanks,

Chris

Is your initial opening of PS 'as Admin'?

While I can reproduce the settings thing (color in this case):

That seems to be an issue with PS not paying attention to my defaults for a window opened as admin initially.  As you can see in the video, however, + sign adds to not open subsequent PS Windows as admin (and perhaps should - Ill inquire).  Non-admin works as expected for alt settings:

That said, and as you can see, no PS window was apart from the group, regardless of setting, as you had detailed.  Perhaps a purge and reinstall is in order:

Hello,

It looks like the issue with the window not opening in the same tab group only happens if I don't move or resize the window before trying to open a new tab.

The issue with the colors still happens though. I am not opening my powershell as admin. One thing I do notice is that subsequent instances of powershell are starting with a different working directory (C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0).

Odd... But, even after trying to use your (non-default) settings shown in the image, I could not reproduce your issue.  Did you have time to attempt this:
