Possible to rename the shortcut "Windows Administrative Tools"?

I have recently purchased a license for Start10 and I must say the Start Menu now looks great (especially with "Paint solid colour background behind icons" enabled, which makes the Start Menu look native to Windows 10 in an elegant way). This Win10 native style is unique among Start Menu replacement software for Windows as far as I know.

However I have one minor issue, which is the "Windows Administrative Tools" shortcut on the right hand side. I often access these tools and want to have it enabled. But the shortcut name is more than double the length of all other shortcut names in the right hand menu, especially in my native Swedish OS language; "Administrationsverktyg för Windows". It doesn't look good and disturbs an otherwise great looking Start Menu. Is it possible to rename the shortcut to simply "Administrative Tools" or in Swedish "Administrationsverktyg" in some way?? I have tried to but did not find a solution.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I don't think you can rename it. But there is a workaround it. Please view the video I posted, you may get the idea. Let us know if you need more assistant.

Thanks for the tutorial. The only drawback with this workaround is you cannot place the shortcut together with Control Panel and Settings shortcut below the horizontal line.

By the way, I noticed in the Start10 program folder that it contains a Theme Editor and some help files how to use it. Is it possible to load the existant theme and edit it? I did not find the Win10 theme anywhere however, but only two completely different themes.

Hello,

Theme Editor, something I also just discover, is something similar to Skinstudio for WindowBlinds. ThemeEditor is for editing the Startmenu only. Best way to learn on how is open existing theme, give it a new name and save it, so the original theme it not effected. Load the new saved theme. And hack away.

Just that I wish themeEditor have a preview portion just like SkinStudio more easy to mod.

Do you know how to open the existing theme? Where is the file located?

On mine its on "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\Start10". If you never install any other theme, you should have 2 folders in there. Round7 and Shadow.

Thank you,

OK, but I cannot find the theme used (Win10 Modern). I wonder if it's possible to extract it in some way...

I don't think you can edit the Modern style and Windows 10 style. Theme editor only work under the "Windows 7 Style" categories
