What personal info does Fences collect if any (privacy policy) and how many PCs am I allowed to install it on ?

I am thinking of buying Fences.

I have about four PCs.  I wonder how many PCs I can install Fences on if I buy it?

Also, what is Fences privacy policy?  Does it collect any user data ?

Ok, thanks.   So, for the license I can use it on upto 5 computers:

An Individual User may:

  1. Install, use and activate one (1) copy of the Software on up to five (5) unique personal computers simultaneously that are owned by you for your personal use

But, for the data collection I am still not sure since the second link you gave me was the privacy policy for the use of the website I think, not Fences.

That's the only privacy policy I know of.  The eula text file in my WindowBlinds installation points to the same privacy policy.  Sombody else may know of another, but that's all I have.

I just installed the trial and analysed the license agreement.  There is no mention at all of any data harvesting so I am sure they don't.  If they did, they are obliged to tell us.  Here's the nearest thing I got, but it talks about uploading data to their website.

Stardock and/or its agents may provide you with technical support services related to the Software ("Support Services"). Use of Support Services is governed by Stardock policies and programs described in the user manual, in "online" documentation, and/or in other Stardock- provided materials. With respect to technical information you provide to Stardock or its agents as part of the registration of your license to the Software or in connection with the Support Services, Stardock and its agents may use such information for its business purposes, including, without limitation, for product support and development.

There is no 'harvesting'.

Becoming a Stardock customer through the process of purchase/and registration as a site user will naturally record your IP, and registration info such as email address used and thus number of activations of the product - all as is normal process...;)
