2 mysterious bugs that causing lags and flickering

There are 2 different bugs when using Groupy v1.1 on Window 10:

- When I dragged the tab grouped window to the edge of the screen or the corner and snap it, it worked like normal, but when I tried to drag the tab bar and move the whole group around, it is very lag and hard to move, eventually I have to separate all of the tabs to different normal window again, and the lag disappeared (when dragging that tab bar to move whole group around, grey bars clones appear at random position on the screen, you have to click the clone to remove it)

- Second bug involves Google Chrome. When I tried to drag a chrome tab out of chrome window and tried to move it back again or to different new window but same Groupy tab group, it keep flickering and switching against multiple Groupy Chrome tab like this: https://streamable.com/h02gk. As you can see in the video, I literally clicked "DuckDuckGo" Groupy Chrome tab to make it focus that window and then I tried to move the google.com tab back to it original position, but instead it occurs the bug as you can see.

Ugh... After 2 days the 2nd bug appear again...
Seems weird... After following your instruction, the 2nd bugs did not happen... But probably when I turned off the machine and turned on again, that's when the bug occurs again?

The way you suggest to fix it only work for previous days tho...

Edit: probably would wait for tomorrow to test the disable all extensions methods as I'm currently busy...

Hello,

Possibly problem with compatibility with Chrome or its add on with groupy. Try disable all add on, Clear cache, Restart Chrome and try again.

If its solve. Try turn on add on one at the time and test. Repeat. Until you found the problem.

OK I'm really confused by now...

Today I turned on Chrome by usual, leave all of my extensions turned on by normal, 2 fresh tabs for each window, tried to create a new tab in a window, moved that new tab out of that window, then moved back in, the bug is not there...

Ok after new test I found out that when I drag a tab out of those 2 old windows, leave it there. I tried to drag another tab out of one of those two windows and dragged back in, the bug occurred again...

Now I will try turn off all extension...

Edit: uploaded a new video, but because it contains private information so I sent it as a private message to @AzDude. And of course, in that video, the flickering bug occurred...

Hello,

I can't reproduce your issue on my system. Please view my video below.

https://youtu.be/bJqJbhKOGxM

Try the latest version 1.15 from here http://storage.stardock.com/files/beta/Groupy1.15_rc_sd.exe

Purge current version restart. Install the new one using the V1.15RC from above link.

Try that and report back. Thanks

Tried that version, still not work. Sent another video over private message to @basj

Probably something wrong with my machine or only occurs on window 10...

I guess I should wait for perfect moment in 50/50 chance to place the tab in correct window, :P

Hi,

I did not get any message from you. BTW my video was made on Windows 10 system.

Looking at the video you just send. I think it obvious that the Duckduckgo is having issue with Groupy Tabs. From my take, maybe, Duckduckgo is trying to block how groupy work make it flickering. Its like tug of war between Duckduckgo and Groupy.

On second note : I saw you click and drag your tabs onto the old tabs which is a weird, If you want to add a 3rd tabs on groupy you need to drag it to the right of your 2nd groupy tabs until you see that "Insert into a group" notification text appear only than you release your mouse. On my video its appear around 0:17 and 0:37 Sec (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJqJbhKOGxM&feature=youtu.be)

Not like that unfortunately. What I wanted is to group the tab I just dragged out back to it original position, not creating new groupy tab. I always wanted to have multiple groupy chrome tab, and for each of those chrome window will have multiple native chrome tabs.

This is what I mean when I tried to merge tabs back to it's original position (native chrome tab) without using groupy tab

Hope this would make it clearer what's the bug is.

For reference just in case: FirstSecond

From that last vdo you post. What I do not understand is that why do you need to drag the tabs outside just to enter its web address and drag it back into that chrome group?

What I understand is that you try to move a chrome tab into another groupy chrome tabs.

What I suggest is that create multiple tabs on one chrome and another multiple tabs on another chrome. Than combine both chrome into two tab groupy.

Finally I can reproduce your problem. I am not sure if it can be solve. but I have forwarded your report to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, thanks.

That one is not important ,you don't need to care about it.

Btw would the bug occurs in Firefox too and other major browser?

Meanwhile should I keep using beta version?
