Dead development?

I haven't seen any movement on any features or updates in quite some time.

Should I be looking to other products to utilize the features I'm coming to desire?

What features do you desire?

Ability to have multiple instances above/below each other, next to a single monitor.

-- 1 main monitor in the middle, then 4 other hosts, surrounding it on the top right/bottom right/top left/bottom left, each taking ~50% of the left/right of the main monitor

-- can do this with synergy, if you have a custom config

better, or more reliable, clipboard functionality.

any keyboard/mouse in the system can control any computer.

ability to target certain special keys to a display

-- ex volume keys, have it always target X computer where I have speakers installed, using the audio sharing.

mobile (well, tablet) support

those are just a few that I can think of wanting in the recent past. I'd hoped that a paid product would see some functional updates, as well as some features added, but I haven't seen any in at least a year.

Not sure what 'hosts' are exactly.  If you mean you want to connect to other Primaries via KVM, that is not possible.

If you want to have multiple windows of KVM sessions to other Secondaries (up to the limit of connections allowed), that is already possible.

Speaking of development, a couple of things on my list and if they're hidden away, please share.

1.  Quick disable vs complete unload.  Occasionally when playing games I end up hitting the right combination of keys and the mouse & keyboard are now active on another machine.  A little annoying to have to right click, Unload with the all or none approach.

1.b Further, a snooze button or disable when x program is running would be nice.

2. Startup options.  On one of my seldom used devices, I would like to manually launch Multiplicity when needed instead of it being always on.  Why?  for something I use once a month, I would rather not have it impact day to day and startup.  I will dig to find how to do this manually but you should have it as a built-in convenience setting.

I can probably come up with another 20 suggestions but, let's see how you respond before I waste my time.

The startup impact of having the MP service active is very very minimal.  That said, I wrote a batch file to turn the MP service off if its on, on if its off:

'1.  Quick disable vs complete unload. '

You can move the PC off grid to accomplish this:

Support for positioning individual monitors would be a huge benefit.

just curious why that’s not possible?  To sell more licenses right?  Only being honest.  The last three programs I used all had dynamic switching.

as for the simultaneous connection to other secondaries? For the love of Jesus how? Lol

For starters, you have to have KVM Pro to do so as it is the version that allows for multiple concurrent KVM (remote) connections.

After, you just connect up to the 8 Secondary limit and providing you have the bandwidth to manage that many.

Yea i have the pro.  Just tested.  Evidently it just wasnt as intuitive as i would have thought.  I was looking for a means in the software itself, or in the dropdown bar that indicated that as being an option.

I saw a screenshot that showed a tabbed type interface akin to groupy but it was in passing so i didnt pay enough attention.

It would be nice to see switching built into the controlbar with some type of tabs to go back n forth or multi connect etc.

Still, i found a middle ground for now.   As you said, you can just keep your current connection, re-initiate KVM mode, connect to another pc - and then create a group for MRDP64.exe with groupy.

close enough with the one caveat you cant run them in full screen and still have fast switching.   Thats where it would beneficial to have it built into multiplicity.

Thank you
