Save multiple tab groups for an application

I have an (trading/charting) application which has 15-20 child windows (each is a financial chart) and I have a manner in which I would like to group those windows each time the application is opened. For example:

GROUP1
Window1
Window2
Window3

GROUP2
Window4
Window5

When I close/re-open the application I would like the groups to maintain this set of groups. Can anyone confirm whether Groupy will allow this functionality?

Many thanks

No it will not, as far as I can see.

I'm surprised this feature isn't there, its a no-brainer.  It takes time to get your groups arranged nicely, so at the least, it should be possible to define groups, save them, then re-open the whole group with a single click.  So, for example, a group call Personal-Data could open Contacts, Calendar, Whatsapp and Gmail.

In your case its a little bit harder because you want to open the same app, but with different starting parameters.  However, that should still be possible.

I want to use Groupy, but since it isn't capable of saving the groups you oh-so-carefully define, maybe it should be called Fleeting-Groupy, because your groups vanish the next time you re-boot.

Hello,

I can not confirm if it will work on your Charting/Trading application but for me it work on my Excel 2013. What I can do is that group 3 excel worksheets and save that group via the dot tabs and save that group. Close all the worksheets. And from any windows, on the 3 dot taps click "saved group" and click on that saved group. And all 3 of my excel 2013 will open up in the group. I am on the version 1.1 beta.
