BUG: Multi-screen display - screen jumping

I joined my Chrome with my Firefox. I had these on difference screens when I performed the action.

I noticed upon clicking the tabs for the other browser that the entire group would jump to the other screen.

I then shrunk the browser, dragged it to the other screen and then placed it in my group.

When I clicked on the tab the group shrunk.

Are your monitors set to the same scaling setting?

I can verify having this same issue with all windows. For example, right now I have 4 Windows Explorer windows grouped. If I have the group maximized, then move it to a different monitor while maximized, it will remember that monitor per tab.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Group multiple windows (any windows seem to do it).
  2. Maximize the group if not already maximized.
  3. Click and empty area of the tab bar, drag to another monitor and make sure to drag it to the top of the screen (where you get the animation indicating it will maximize on release). Release the mouse button.
  4. Click one of the other tabs, for windows that were originally on the other monitor.
  5. The whole group will jump to that other window.
  6. Clicking the tab that was moved to the new monitor will jump the whole group back to that monitor.

I actually have 3 monitors - all the same resolution (1920 x 1080), and all the same model.
Two are using DVI cables, one is HDMI.

(Sorry if there are any typos, I just ran into another bug where it seems to have conflicted with Chrome, and I can only see half of this window.)

Thanks!

That was an issue with the beta but was fixed in a subsequent release.   Were you part of the beta (you dont have a current product under your forum account) - have you installed the most current release (and rebooted)?

I have 1.0 and I can confirm this problem still occurs. And the reproduction steps above reproduces on my machine. Of course, I restarted and confirmed the version.

It seems there were two issues, one of which was sorted in release.

If you drag a group whilst maximized from one monitor to another monitor as one motion leaving it maximized on the second monitor there is an issue.  If you release the mouse when on the second monitor and then drag to the top of the screen to maximize the issue does not occur.

We have this resolved in an upcoming 1.01 release.

Hi,

I have the same issue with windows explorer.

My setup is made of 2 exactly the same screen and an extended desktop on both screens.

I'm running Groupy v1.17 and windows explorer is setted to automaticly group. I also have only one task bar icon setted.

Regards.
