Fences Icons slow to open with double click

I have the same issue on three of my Windows 10 computers (all running latest patched version) that many others have been complaining about since early 2017:  when I double-click on a desktop application icon or disk icon (like Local Disk - C) managed by Fences (I'm using the most recent version 3.0.5.12), the application takes 5-10 seconds to start (very slow) or won't launch at all.  Right-clicking on the icon and selecting "open" works faster.  Suggestions on resolution appreciated--I've always appreciated how helpful Fences keeps my desktop organized, but will discontinue using Stardock products if this bug remains unresolved.
