Fences - slight adjustments in fence

How to make slight adjustments or movements of fence (up and down)

When I try and move a fence up or down, the fence moves in incremental movements up until a point, then it stops and "jumps" to a position lower than I want it to be.

How do I move a fence incrementally, so that I can position it exactly where I want it to be?

PS - I have no problem expanding the fence size (downward) to exactly the size I want it to be; just having difficulty moving the entire fence down (or up) to where I want it to be positioned.

Hold down the Shift key while moving or disable snapping in the configuration.
