V 10.64
Just got a message about v 10.6.4, What's the Changes?
Good point. Since 10.6.4 is considered a beta I wouldn't download it if you aren't having any problems.
Maybe someone will point out the changes here because I can't find them.
How were you notified?
I encourage everyone who can try it to do so. The more people we have during the beta cycle, the better the release will be.
- Fixed - Taskbar failed to skin in Insider Build for Fall Creators update
- Fixed - Crashes in Insider Build for Fall Creators update
- Fixed - Some Modern apps were unskinned but should have been.
So do I. Saying that would be nice if it was posted exactly what the beta was suppose to fix.
Exactly as you said above what was changed for this beta.
I'm running it, seeing no issues thus far.
Got it. Now to go play.
Ran into a little issue. After uninstalling 10.62, rebooting and installing 10.64 the config window opened and froze. I had to close it with task manager, no big deal, in order to reboot. Activation was no problem. After reboot I opened the config window and had no problem closing it. It did seem to load another WB faster though.
Installed 10.64 on Windows Insiders 16288.1 (getting close to Creators Fall release).
Best news is that Firefox is running (failed to start in 10.62) and gets skinned (with some imperfections though).
Sorry delaying the reply. I'd like to play with it some more and give you a meaningful feedback.
Here goes:
1. Vertical Taskbar: The time in the tray section is not displayed properly
2. Firefox Titlebar: The title is not displayed (appears only when hovering over the minimize button)
3. Shouldn't the menu (desktop-right click) be transparent?
4. Explorer title bar text is garbled for long titles
Image follows in the next post
properties image - Title garbled
Sorry you are having problems with my WB. #1 and #4. I have no problems as it's all fine here.
#3. I did not and don't make any transparent images. So right clicking on desktop will not show the menu transparent. In fact I tried several WB's and none are transparent. Are there a couple, yes but were made that way.
#2 I don't use firefox or have it installed so can't check that.
Hopefully someone from support will see this on Monday. Maybe send in a support ticket.
