Software update notifications

Hi. Is there any way I can really disable automatic update checks for these products? I detest unnecessary notifications on my system, and once OD has detected there's an update to one of the many software components, it nags every day to update. Even when I switch off update checks in the settings.

Well, in this instance, the OD popup told me that Start10 had an update. I let it pass, but honestly I'd prefer to update at my own choosing rather than every time the software has an update. Notifications are intrusive, and I avoid them wherever possible, across the board. So for any part of OD which produces these software update notifications, I'd prefer they all be switched off.

Most of the applications have a setting on the about page to check for updates automatically.  Unticking this will stop it.

Please note that you will not receive any notifications of updates if you do this and it is therefore up to you to check every so often as keeping current with updates is always recommended.

End of Recon777's quote

OD does no checking for updates. Some of the programs that come with OD do check on their own and some don't.

Just do what Neil said and turn it off in the program itself and that is it.

Relax and detest something that is forced on you without a solution. Not something that has a easy fix.

Object Desktop Manager does check for updates and can be disabled.

Yeah well I'm still getting pestered by a lot of update notifications. I even did the update and it still tells me there are new updates. I unchecked the auto check for updates checkbox as well. I can't seem to make this stop.

Still getting these quite regularly, even though I've unchecked automatic updates. Can someone help?
