Fences 3.0.5.11 has messed up any speedy workflow

Hi

I have been a Stardock customer for many years both personally and as an IT Manager where I had Fences and Start8 installed on many company PC's.  I have never really had any issues with Fences until the previous update when it was impossible to drag icons into rolled-up fences.  You subsequently fixed this but this latest update is so annoying.  Here is a list of the problems I am experiencing with the latest update:

  • I have to click many times on an application icon for it to launch the program.
  • I have to select an icon and wait a couple of seconds for it to become available to drag, otherwise if I try to do it straight away I just get the create fence selection box appearing for the distance of my supposed drag.
  • New installed program icons are very slow to become selectable and when dragging they will drop of their own accord.  It can take several drags to get the icon placed where I want it.  This is very tedious on a dual screen set-up.

Prior to the last two updates I had no issues with Fences 3 and nothing has changed on my PC other than probable Windows 10 Pro updates as I allow these to be automatically installed.

wondered if these are common issues others have experienced since the update or if its just my system.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Andy

I can't really say.

I can say that I run several triple monitor systems running the current Windows 10 full release (not fast track or any of that crap). I run Fences on all of them and I have none of the reported problems. This thread, or others.

I find it odd that I read all of these threads of problems that I don't have. I assume it is connected to some software that I do not have that others do have.

I know that this doesn't help much. But I run almost every software that Stardock offers, and have for years and years, with no major problems. Spanning XP, Vista, 7, 8.1, and 10.

Odd, I know.

For what it's worth.

As you may read on several threads, it has been reported and may development is still at the beach or working on it since Win10/1703 went out.

I went back as other(s) suggested to 3.03 but have NOW the folder portals always the large icon set but can now change to the small list back again. But this requires a permanent change after boot.

There was no solution given even from the support even using a clean installation... 8(|
