Icons cannot be dragged anymore

Following transition from Fences 1.0 to 2.0

Hi all 

Samsung Netbook W8.1  8 GB RAM  plenty storage, all updated and nicely spinning.

Had Fences 1.0 running (installed it way back in 2013 and forgot about) but decided to try and install 2.0 for kicks. Newer = better, no?

Uninstalled Fences 1.0 first, saved settings, installed Fences 2.0 Free Trial 

Setup the Fences as usual. Then found that onze in place Icons  cannot be dragged around as they used to on this and my other desktops, laptop etc.

Only Cut & Paste to another location would do for regular icons.

Systems Icons are really stuck: Netwok, Computer, Bin, Download folder etc. In order to move those around you have to sneakily Paste other icons around them so they will be pushed aside or up.

Any explanation for this rigid behaviour?

Fences 3 = Best for Windows 10.

Hi Zuba,

 

I am using Fences 2.01 on W8.1 in a free trial period 14 days left.

 

Would that put restrictions on observed my dragging icons behaviour?
