MULTIPLICITY WORKS FIND, THEN , FOR NO REASON, IT KEEPS SHUTTING OFF ON PRIMARY COMPUTER

Multiplicity keeps shutting down on my primary computer.

It works fine for awhile & then, out of the blue it shuts off.

I have Windows 10 on both computers.

I use Avast Firewall & I have opened up all the ports on both computers, so nothing is blocked.

I am so frustrated, I'm ready to dump Multiplicity.

I've tried to find an answer on the Internet but it appears to be a secret.

I need to solve this or I will dump it.  Thank you.

Oh, if I shut off Avast on my Secondary computer, then Multiplicity will turn on again on my Primary.

I would suggest that Avast is blocking traffic. Can you set it to ignore Multiplicity?

I did everything you suggested (tweak Avast to ignore Multiplicity--I did this on both computers).  I also tweaked Avast so all the ports were open.  As I said, before and after I tweaked Avast, Multiplicity worked flawlessly for a few hours and then, out of the blue, for no reason, Multiplicity shut down on the primary computer.  My one mouse, one keyboard setup is such an integral part of my work environment, I go insane when the program stops working--and because I am working, I lose too much valuable time trying to solve the problem.  I scoured the Internet to find a solution.  I waited patiently for someone in this forum to provide the solution.  No solution found.  So, yesterday, when Multiplicity stopped working after a few hours, I got so disgusted, I uninstalled Multiplicity & installed Input Director...problem solved.

Of course, if someone is able to provide a solution, I would give Multiplicity another try.

I'm STILL having the same problem!!

MP is not shutting itself off.  You are going to want to disable your AV product for a bit to see if it is indeed doing so.  YOu can always check to make sure the MP service is running as well:

I DID ALL THIS & I'm ready to ask for a refund.  I can't stand it anymore.  It works for awhile & then the primary machine shuts down.  I've tried EVERYTHING!!!  I also tried to send you a support ticket but I had to register again & I got disgusted & gave up!  I also cannot copy & paste from one computer to the other.  I am beyond disgusted & I put so many hours into this, you should pay me!

I can only reiterate what I have already noted and suspected - its not MP shutting itself down.

You can try a purge / reinstall on each PC:

If that fails, my last support recommendation would be to do a clean boot.  I highly doubt it will happen under that condition.
