Double Click brings up settings, not auto-hide. Also, is our license only a year long?

I have two questions. Why is my double-click autohide not working? And how come my license expires in a year? I was under the impression we were buying software, not renting. I feel like this is very shady and underhanded of them. I already paid for Fences 1 years ago and I was forced to pay for this. I upgraded to Object Desktop for $20 and now I am being told I only have my key for a YEAR? So does that mean a year from now I have to buy a NEW fences 3 key? 

 

Also, not to even mention the fact the software ISN'T WORKING. Double clicking on the fences, title or anywhere brings up my settings instead of auto-hiding the icons. So the one thing I really wanted to do, I can't, and I feel like I just got swindled. They REALLY need to make it more known that you are RENTING the license for a year, not buying it.
