update bug

on Wed I got prompted to download and install a 11.6mb update.  did so and rebooted machine.

on Thur I got prompted to download and install a 11.6mb update. did so and rebooted machine.

on Fri I got prompted to download and install a 11.6mb update.  checked Fences/About/Check for update

and it says I have 3.04 and program is up to date.

How do I stop this popup window telling to me to download and install the latest update?  I tried

"Remind me later" - the popup window came back in 5 minutes.

windows 10 (latest BUT NOT with creator's update)

edit: I also tried clicking the 'X' in the upper right - prompt to download and install did

not appear Saturday but it is back Sunday.

edit 2: popup window continues to show up daily in the evening.  until this morning.

checked configure Fences/About/Check for update still says nothing to update.

I experienced the same problem. My version is Fences 3.0.4.12.

Confirmed problem here as well. So now the already annoying (and unnecessary, and impossible to disable) update notification popup is now even more annoying and simply broken (no update actually available). Bonus: The brilliant notification even pops up over fullscreen apps whenever it feels like it! 8|

Please do the following:

  1. Press the Windowskey and R together to open the run prompt.
  2. Paste in the following (including the quotation marks): "%localappdata%\stardock\fences3"
  3. Select OK
  4. Go to https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/default_import/Tickets/Submit to create a case
  5. Attach SasLog.txt to the case with a brief description of the problem (refer to this post if you like)

tried to do this.   logging onto the forum works.  can view my order history and account information works.

submitting a ticket  doesnt work.   never heard of my email address/password.   please dont tell me I need

another account to submit a ticket.  tried twice with Opera and once with Edge web browser - logging into  forum

and my account works, logging in to submit ticket does not.   and I use a password manager program so no mistyping

login/password.

The support system is not the same as your Stardock account.
