Desktop Icons

Hi,

Im a big fan of this software so thanks. Last night I created an Object Dock, added a few folders to it, now I had to move one of those folders back to the Desktop, when I did the folder is not there, I have no idea where it is gone, done a search on my Pc and it is not there. The folder had around 1gig of models from 3DSMax. Would really appreciate help please.

Thanks

Richard

I could be wrong, it's been ages since I used ObjectDock. But I believe that if you drag something off the dock, it gets deleted.

A shortcut to the folder would have been a better choice.

Again, I could be wrong.

Hi,

To be honest, I hope you are wrong, 100s of hours wasted, if this is the case, I will no longer be using the said product, as it is unreliable. I am, however, interested in what the developer has to say. Thanks for taking the time to reply though.

I was wrong. I just tested that theory, and I was mistaken. Folder removed from my dock still remains on desktop.

Hai rnllincoln, when you drag a folder or an application inside the dock you are just going to create a shortcut nothing more nothing less on the opposite when you drag something out of the dock you are just deleting that shortcut

so as long as you didn't erased the original folder that precious folder should be THERE

if you really deleted the real folder it should be in the Recycle bin, or if you also emptied the recyclebin and (hopefully) before created a system restore point I reccomand to use this application ShadowExplorerPortable

hope this helps !
