Fences on multiple screen configurations

Hi

Im looking into maybe buying fences but i need to know a few Things.

My setup is a laptop with a dock and 2 pcs 24" monitors.

The resolution on the laptop screen and the 24" monitors differ.

Right now i have this problem that if i arrange the icons on the desktop they are not arranged if i take the laptop out of the dock.

So the question is : Will fences keep the icons arranged when i change from the 24" screens on the dock to the laptop screen. ?

Also, can i have fences on both screens when docked and how will that be handled if i undock ?
