Idea for Fences

IMHO, one of the best (and underrated) "clean desktop" apps was an object dock with multiple tabs. So instead of having multiple fences for each group of related apps, you had a single dock on the desktop and you could click through tabs to get to the grouping you wanted.

If there was some way to integrate that into a Fences option, I think that would be terrific.

Now, some people would tell me to just use the Object dock program. But isn't that no longer supported? I think the latest support was for Win8?

Just a thought...

That certainly could work, but IMO, would still have a cluttered look within the main fence. Also, the main fence would take up a lot of desktop real estate.

The Object dock took up very little.

 

Also, if you're gong to do fences within a fence idea, you could forgo the main fence and just cluster the multiple fences together into one large square or rectangle.
