reboot??

Just downloaded WB10, keeps asking me to reboot, that's as far as I ever get, it will not install.  I am running Win10, which it stated it was compatible with before I purchased.

Ummm...so, did you reboot, or not?

Is the installer asking for a reboot, or is the reboot request when you open the software?

I click on the download to "setup" the UAC pops up and asks me if I wan to open, I click yes and then a notice pops up "reboot" required. Thanks for the speedy replies, much appreciated.

I had the same issue a while ago and no amount of rebooting would resolve it.  In the end I figured it was a bad download and uninstalled Windowblinds, then ran Ccleaner to remove any leftovers.  I then downloaded and installed a new copy of Windowblinds, which worked without issue, so maybe that is the answer in your case.

Hopefully this helps.

It is likely the download had been corrupted somehow. It does happen.

Exactly!  It happened to me.

While the majority of the download was probably okay, a small part was defective, thus allowing it to install but not function correctly.  I assume that it left the Stardock servers okay, so I'm guessing that there was a network glitch or interruption The second download worked okay, though, and I've not had an issue since.

Solution:

Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\WindowBlinds

Delete "rebootrequired.txt"

Run installer again.
