I understand what you are saying on this concerning 10.57 Neil, but then again, anything made under 10.51 and prior gets ruined. Which is a ton of skins.

Man I'm all confused and since everything appears to work fine for me I'm staying out of this because I really don't understand it all.

I never updated my windows 7 computer as I found no reason. My opinion WB10 did nothing to improve anything on win 7. So I make all my skins on win 7 and use version wb 8.06. Now that is really prior to 10.51. On win10 I use 10.51. So I install my WB on that computer and make that sub style for 10. Make the required adjustments. I actually check the sub style for win 10 on my win 7 and all seems well.

So at this point I will just read the post and try to learn what I can but leave the setup I have as is. Doesn't appear to be broke here and that is fine with me.

Win10 64bit Home

In WBConfig, set the taskbar to fully transparent (only occurs if fully transparent, not partially)

Mouseover a taskbar button to display the popup preview

A blur occurs across the bottom of the entire screen in the preview popup area

Doesn't seem to be skin-specific
End of DaveRI's quote

Ok that's wrong, it does occur with some skins and not others.

Still a few issues on Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview, Build 15048; Build 15051 supposed to drop today so we'll see if some things get 'fixed' or not.

Main thing is a few title bars won't skin: Edge, Calculator; most skins apply okay......

(I'll make a note of other issues when I stumble over them! ;) )

"random" windows are missing titlebars, mainly dialog windows. Irfanview, Firefox, teamspeak... Firefox has it's menubar "off" by some pixels when it's initially hidden (and when alt is used to show it). (also latest fences doesn't work until desktop is right-clicked once, but that is another issue)

W10 insider 15048. Edit: also on 15055

What skin are you using?

A missing titlebar would typically mean the skin author made an error in setting the system wide titlebar height.  If this is significantly different from the reality it can cause problems.

WT Etneo, but yes a "built in" skin works as it should. I happened to test only one other skin that didn't work then. Hopefully getting things back to normal then...

I had heard explorer window transparency (background, not title or navigation bar) was planned to be added down the line for WB10. Is this present in the new beta (i'm reluctant to test it out myself as I'm not a skin author and with the report of many skins being broken by the update) or is this gonna remain a pipe-dream. I know of so many awesome blinds I use that look even better on prior versions of Windows and the old WindowBlinds due to this extra transparency effect.

Obviously fixing issues should take precedence but we should always be looking forward also.

Also, recent stable release has seemed to add support for theming the explorer ribbon yet I have noticed this being rather sporadic and sometimes elements returning to default colour scheme. I am not certain whether this is a conflict with another ObjectDesktop software such as WindowFX or a bug but I'd be interested to know if this issue is still observed in the beta.

with build 15058 my previously non functioning etneo skin works again.
