Launch not appearing

I am running Window 10 Insider Preview 15031 and have just installed Launch version 1.10 but I cannot see it anywhere on the Start Menu when launched. I have not been able to get this program working on any prior version of Windows 10 either. I have also tried it on my Windows 10 Tablet in Tablet Mode but still no joy. I used this program on Windows 8 and 8.1 and it worked well.

I am also running Start10 configured to the Windows 10 mode - I cannot see Launch in any of the other 2 modes either. The Start Menu is also configured to Full Screen mode.

Has anyone found a cure to this problem yet?

I tried to reproduce your issue on a Surface Pro 3 but failed; it worked as expected.

Same here . . . Running Windows 10-64.  Downloaded and installed Launch 8 (ver 1.10) as Stardock Web site indicated it's compatible with Windows 10 . . . but will not start up.  Bummer!

Are you using Start10 too?  Are you in tablet mode? Are you using an Insider Build?

Just piling on.  I just bought Launch 20 minutes ago, and I can't get it to show up at all.  I click the program to start it pops open the Start menu, but the app doesn't appear to be there.  It's installed, but not working.  I'm an Administrator user, but for fun I right-clicked the shortcut and "Ran as Administrator".  No joy.  Windows 10-64, desktop mode, patched current.

EDIT: Just read in another thread that Launch only works with the Start menu set to full screen.  This makes it unusable for me.  As was mentioned in that thread, if the Stardock website had been more clear about that I would never have purchased it.

Hi, Update on this problem!

I have been liaising with Stardock on this issue (as a problem ticket), and in the end they could not help me any more. So I still have the same problem.

Yes, I have installed the latest version of Start10, I have the latest Insider Preview (Creator's), I am operating Windows 10 Start menu in Full-screen mode as listed on the Setting menu and I am not operating in tablet mode.

Just in case it makes a difference - the machine is an HP/Compaq 8300 SFF; with an Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.4GHZ and 16.00GB of DDR3 RAM

I have seen Launch on the Start menu once when booting up, just as the Start menu came up, but it disappeared as quickly as it showed.

I have also updated my screen driver to the latest version - Intel HD Graphics 4000.

I have installed a new version of Windows 10-64 (NOT Insider Preview) on another disk and installed Launch and Start 10 on it and I still cannot see it on the Start Menu - I cannot understand why!.

Hi, another Update on this problem.

Brad Ather just suggested that I try my Taskbar at the bottom of the screen rather than on the Right, as is my preferred position - it worked! I can now see Launch on my full screen Start menu. Be aware that Launch doesn't appear if your Taskbar is on the Right or Left of your main screen. If you select the Start menu from a secondary screen Start button when the Taskbar is on the Left or Right, Launch does not appear.

The version of Windows 10 I have is the Creators Update.

Thank you for reporting that.  I have tested here and can confirm that the position of the taskbar is indeed the problem.  Not sure how that slipped through testing but I will endeavour to get an update out for that resolving that problem.

I find no manual for Launch. I use my taskbar at the top and would also run launch at the top. Can anyone tell me if Launch will cover the Windows taskbar, or will it dock above or below the Windows taskbar?

I was wondering if the taskbar was the only thing causing this issue? I have moved mine to all four locations on all screens and I still am not able to get Launch to show. I am running windows 10 insider preview edition 15063. I am also using Start 10, both apps are the latest ver. via OD.

Thanks!

Are you using the full screen start menu?
