version 3.03 - folder portal navigation

I have v3.03 and navigation 'checked' for folder portals.

 

I am under the impression that I can navigate within a folder portal.  That is, I can open a sub-folder within a portal and return to the primary folder etc.  Am I incorrect in thinking this is possible?  I did notice that I had an arrow next to the title on a folder portal but clicking that using any combination had no effect.  My only solution was to select 'different folder' to navigate to the primary folder.

If you see the "Up Arrow" it means that you have navigated down to a sub-folder.

Right-clicking on the arrow will take you back up.
When you are at the topmost level (the folder/directory you created the fence with) the arrow will be a folder icon.
