How to increase Yor population

Stupid question I'm sure, but how do I increase the Yor population?  All I see so far is Fast Assembly which takes forever to build, so my planets are all 1 population.  What am I missing?  Thanks!

Nope. Yor can start out very slow but once you have a high production planet or two, you can pump out population like crazy and use colonizer/transport ships to move them to where they are needed most. I've been able to populate many worlds very quickly this way.

So I can't really do anything until I build at least fast assembly?  And even that just adds 4 population right?

build a couple of factory worlds when they are fully built the can build assembly's quickly. When your worlds are almost maxed out then move them around with colony ships. recommend stacking the ships with engines.

Like I said, a slow start. You could buy/rush build the fast assembly, but that gets expensive.
