Icons randomly order themselves when attempting to rearrange within fence

Just updated to Fences 3 from version 2 and when I try to rearrange files or folders they move to the middle of the fence randomly.  This only seems to happen with fences that contain a large amount of files and folders.  Basically, I can't put the files in the order I would like to like I did with version 2.  Any suggestions.  I have totally uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted, etc....all the general troubleshooting basics have be attempted.
