Fences adds about three minutes to shutdown

Hi all,

So we did an initial evaluation of Fences, which was a success. Now we are doing a trial with a couple of users and have bought licenses.

During our evaluation, we noticed that Fences added about three minutes to shutdown times on at least one machine. Uninstalling Fences yields shutdown times under a minute. Reinstalling Fences gets us back up to around five minutes.

We also noticed that Fences refused to upgrade. It gets to the downloading screen, but sits at 0% forever. During our initial evaluation, we thought that that might be because we were running it in the 30-day trial, but now that we have licenses we see that that isn't the issue. Perhaps the failed upgrades are the cause of the slow shutdown times.

Any ideas or suggestions?
