Multiplicity is broke - December 2016

Multiplicity is broke.
Change hands/developers?

#1 Infinite update loop.
When you boot now it will say an update for Multiplicity is available.
You click on okay, let it do it's thing, then it want's to reboot.
Boots back up and asks for an update over again.
Like the movie "Groundhog Day" it'll loop over and over again..

#2 Multiplicity is flat out broke.
So you decide to either ignore the update box and/or uncheck the "Automatically check for updates.." option,
Multiplicity is completely broke. The primary will not connect to the secondary client period.
I troubleshooted for an hour, reinstalled multiple times, etc.
Some things I notice, the Windows 8.1 firewall rules are no longer being updated.
I tried installing to the old folder instead of the new default "C:\Program Files (x86)\EdgeRunner\Multiplicity" and that didn't help either.
Previously you would install Multiplicity and it would set the firewall rules, etc., and just work..

Also some of your website account options are broken. 

Get your act together over there please.
And you need to make the older version available for download so I/we can get Multiplicity working again.

Sorry for the inconvenience with this.  I will ensure someone is on it first thing Monday morning to correct the bad version information that is coming from the servers (I cannot change it) and for a full explanation about how this happened.

Yep, it's broke totally, as said before, keeps wanting to install time after time, once I finally got an install done, connection errors, unable to connect.  I had changed no setting on the pc's (5 connected with a PRO License,  now Primary and 2 secondaries connect, anbd 2 others won't.  All the same models, same software, same firewall setting..

Hppe it's fixed soon !!!

It's still not updating correctly.

The "Multiplicity_3.43_setup_sd" file will not finish installing after the reboot.

 

I installed 3.41 (over the fouled 3.43) and it works fine.

That suggests something blocked the service installation.  Probably some helpful AV app.

Nope, I doubt it a user error, but a program error, worked perfect before the update for months.  I finally got the latest update to install, and can acess the secondary BUT ....   Copy/Paste does not work at all and crashes the software! 

I turned off anti-virus and firewall to install and it STILL isn't working like before the updates.  Why not try rolling everything bacK?  Give your paid users back what has worked until you test your updates more.

I swore by Multiplicity until this update, now it's totally worthless.  Getting really frustrated here with it !!!
