List view options in standard fences (NOT folder portals)

Why isn't it possible to have list view options in standard fences?  I know this is currently possible in Folder portals, but it would be nice to have the same option available regardless of fence type.  Thanks.

A portal fence is leveraging the Windows Explorer engine.  The desktop doesn't support it in the same way  . . .  so fences cannot.

Actually, that is not true.  I can press Ctrl+Shift+0+8 to get a list view on the desktop, it just doesn't work in my current fences.

The key part in my reply was "in the same way".

I'll make sure the devs are aware that this is a things we can improve on.
