I use Rainlendar daily too, but, there won't be any new sections added here for a little while yet, and when we decide to add some it will be discussed on our admin messageboard and we will probably vote on what new sections we want to add. I know T-man is very busy at the moment, and I soubt that new sections is very high on his list of things to do or fix at WinCustomize.

Hey, why not use my DX Calendar.

You can skin that as much as you like.

Here's a version skinned beautifully by Adam Solley to match his Innovation theme https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=3&SkinID=2548

Blessings and Peace:

Rainy, thank you so much for contributing such a great product as Rainlendar to the online community. I trust that this communique finds you, and yours, in the best of health and highest of spirits.

There's not very much information about the family of Rain products. From the presence of a server product I presume that one is able to push information to the installed Rain client in real time.

Here are my questions/curiosities:

1) Does the Rain server work in sync with the Rainminder client? Does the server causes the Rainminder GUI to automatically appear on the desktop? Can such 'pushes' be set on an automatic schedule (i.e., 3X a day, once a week)?

2) Do you envision a Rain desktop skin akin to the Stardock environment, whereby the Rain server might push 'calendar content' to a wider area right on the desktop (skin)?

------------------

Do you need assistance in expanding the Rain site to include primers and tutorials on the Rain product line?

Please note that I've cc'ed this memo to a couple of Rainers, in case you're swamped and they can respond to my inquiries sooner.

In Service and Respect,
Rafiki Cai

Rafiki,

first of all you should send this as an email to Rainy, i´m sure he will appreciate that. but i doubt he visits this message board.

for your questions: Rainminder is not a standalone program, but a LiteStep module. it can do everything you asked for, but needs LiteStep running as shell or on top of explorer. have a look at the Rainminder and Rainlendar documentation at Rainy´s site for more info. a "Rain desktop" would not make sense as all of Rainy´s programs are LiteStep modules (2 of them also as standalone EXE), so there is already a "Rain desktop":LiteStep

I'm all for a Rainlendar section...

Maybe a Trillian section too...

Moshi:

Thanks for your prompt response. I've looked at the doc for the Rain server, but found it to be very 'lite'; especially for a newbie to this particular space.

Is information on LiteStep usually available at http://www.litestep.com? (Which is currently down.) Does LiteStep have its own server product for pushing info to LiteStep modules?

Do you develop within this space?

the place to go is www.litestep.net . LiteStep modules can interact with each other in various ways. i´m not quite sure what you mean with server product, but the answer is most probably yes.

i´m not a developer, i just skin/theme LiteStep since a few years
