v10.4.5 is not working with ShellFolderFix

Nothing should have changed which would impact ShellFolderFix.

Did you reboot before installing the new WB build?

Yes i rebooted. I uninstalled 10.0.7 rebooted, then installed 10.4.5. Installed fine.

Nothing relating to how ShellFolderFix works should have changed no.  I assume that simply remembers windows and possibly uses title or other information to determine where to put a window.  A pretty simple app.

I just checked here and it seems to be working as expected on Windows 10 Pro November update.  I will check it in the morning on anniversary update in case something else has happened.

What theme are you using?

It may be the long delays you are getting are the cause here as I wouldn't be surprised if ShellFolderFix has timeouts and that's why it is not doing what it should be doing.

Is explorer set to run folders in a separate process?

Also if you unload ShellFolderFix, does the slowness with explorer folders go away?

Yes, ShellFolderFix is Beautiful good simple app and must have these Days. Just like WB

Yes, please do check if you can see if there are any problems between them, or if the problem is just on my computer.

All skins are the same problem with. Both my own i use and i have tried all the skins that comes with WB as well.

I've tried set explorer run seperate process, as well as unchecked, not run in a seperate process.

No difference.

I've uninstalled 10.4.5 as usual, then used a bat file i got from stardock to purge all left overs. (Purge_WB.bat)

I run it in safe mode as admin.

Still there were some leftovers left in registery and on the drive. I removed them.

Removed Everything related to WB.

Reinstalled WB 10.4.5 again. I assume i should just X click it down and reboot the WB window after it is installed?

Cause it just poped up asking for my Key direct after installation.

I rebooted Entered my key reg, and tried the skins that comes with WB. No change. Same problem.

Sure it works, it's just that it's annoying this slow and fast rezising that i can see ShellfolderFix is doing to the folders/windows the way i have set them.

But a bit sluggish. When WB disabled its all very fast and no problems.

Same with windows 10 own windows, like settings window, and apps. They aren't remembered at all!

But when disabled WB its all working fine again and positions are remembered.

Tried all the skins that comes with WB. (as well as my own i use.)

Tried different settings in both WB and in ShellFolderFix. No change.

Sidenote:

I've also noticed that the mouse doesn't repond very good either when double clicking specially.

Sluggish there also with double clicks and doesn't obey when i double click every time.

But when WB is disabled Everything works fine again with the mouse also. Fishy.

So i don't know how to solve this. Help appreciated to help solve this.

Neil, did you check out this problem and tried Anniversary update?

I've tried all settings but it's still the same problem.

Testing here with our latest internal build shows it remembering windows just fine and without delays so hopefully when we release the update you will find your problem is resolved.

Ok, thanks for testing. I've tried Everything i could Think of and it is still the same problem.

Hopefully next build of WB fixes it then.

I had to change back to WB 1.07 and now Everything works great again. (even the skins looks better without the gap i was getting in Explorer.)

The 10.4.6 beta did not help?

No, 10.4.6 didn't help. There was a Little gap between the menu in this PC, where one can click and minimize it. I don't know how to explain it, the gap is in "this PC" or "in my computer" as it was called Before in Explorer.

But with v 10.07 it's all fine again, and Everything runs good again, no sluggishness and no gap, and shellfolderfix remembers Everything.

This doesn't work well with later v 10.4.5 and 6.
