Trial user, consider buying, question

Hi everyone,

Upgraded to Win X recently and I'm a bit disappointed by the overall look as well as the lack of customization options. But at least it was free...However, being a happy GC II/III player I remembered SD offers some nifty tools to change the GUI, so here I am, testing WindowBlinds.

Long story short: I like it, but I'm wondering if I will be able to color/skin certain areas in the full version that don't seem to get affected by color changes I do in the trial version I use, which is: WindowBlinds 10 (015 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS

Pls. see the pic attached, esp. the explorer's menu area (red markers) always stays the same even when I change the "system colors" and those changes do appear in other programs.

Is it not possible to change that, or is it in the full version?

That's the Ribbon, and thanks to Microsoft, WB's can't skin it. Many of us use OldNewExplorer  http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/OldNewExplorer.shtml  to get rid of the ribbon so WB's can do what it does best. Note: The Action Center, Clock/Cal and systray hidden icon area also cannot be skinned by WB's.

I bought a key for the full version meanwhile. I'm even considering to make custom skins myself, but it seems SkinStudio, which I understand is the software to use for this, is not available separately anymore?

At least I only found it as part of the whole Object Desktop Suite? Can I still get Skin Studio alone somehow or is there an alternative that works with WB?

SkinStudio comes free with a WindowBlinds purchase.  Login to the Stardock Store and click the My Downloads link.

SkinStudio should be listed on your account.

Skinstudio is bundled with Windowblinds. When you install WB SKS will install.

If you are a Object Desktop member (subscription for one year) SKS is available as a separate download on the "My Downloads" page

Dave, I have always had to install SkinStudio, it never installs along with WindowBlinds.

Ok, I checked the mail from Stardock Sales having purchase info and WB key - indeed it says I purchased WB and got SkinStudio added for free.

But SkinStudio does not appear in the list of "My Downloads", only WB. I even dl-ed and installed the whole WB package again since I thought it might be in there, but not in the trial version I had first. But it seems SkinStudio itself is nowhere on my computer, and selecting "edit style with SkinStudio" in WB only leads me to the product page.

Before I ask the support, is there something else I can do?

Thank you guys, but SkinStudio does not show up for me. I assume it is supposed to be a separate dl from WB?

This is how my dl section looks now (blurred out personal info like keys etc):

WB is showing there, the two GC games I got, but not SkinStudio (not in "history" either). Could it be a problem that the paypal account I used to buy WB uses a different email than my usual Stardock account?

I manually added it to your account.  Sorry for the confusion.
