WindowBlinds 10.07 [Beta] hotfix released for Window 10 Fast Ring Insider Build 14376

http://sd.stardock.com//nasa/sd.stardock.com/zubaz/App_archive/WindowBlinds_10.0.7_beta_setup.exe

Microsoft Insider Build 14376 has some changes that have caused issues with WindowBlinds 10.05.

We believe we have identified the issue and resolved it in the linked hotfix

If you are running the fast ring of the insider builds and have experienced the issue (a black screen) you can restart in safe mode or hold the [Ctrl] key down to disable WindowBlinds.

Once you have access to your desktop, you can install the beta from http://sd.stardock.com/zubaz/WindowBlinds_10.0.7_beta_setup.exe

If you are running the slow ring (or the fast ring and have not experienced the issue; now is a good time to update.

Windows 7 and 8 are not affected by this issue.  Installing the update will not adversely affect those operating systems though.

Is this for Windows 7 and 8.1 also? Is there a list of fixes anywhere to view?

OK, thanks Neil. Good to know.

Will it hurt to install it on 7 or 8.1 though? WB 10.0.5 runs just fine of 7 and 8.1.

Still says WindowBlinds 10 (015 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS on the about screen....

The build number has not changed as that part was not modified.

Fast ring or a slow ring?

I would also like to know if it will hurt 8.1.

It should not hurt any OS.  But it was released to fix a problem specific to Windows 10 insider preview 14376 and above.

small glitch.unsure if it was because multiplicity had to update and i didnt reboot yet but for a second windowblinds had a redraw error .half the taskbar was missing.

i then clicked the start bar and everything was fine but pages were loading up glitching.

upon a reboot however it seems to be stable for now.i dunno if it was part of the hotfixes settling in but if it occurs again or others see this glitch  its not just me.

im going to assume for now it was just a minor hiccup.no black screen and the laptops useable, even the ctrl alt del menu. overall good fix A+

Could someone tell me why, after installing WB 10.0.7 over WB 8.13 on Windows 8.1, that the About WB dialog still says Windowblinds 8.13 is installed?

The icon is for WB10, and it is in fact running WB10, but says version 8.13 in the About box. If you do a Check for Updates, it says there are no updates for WB10 available, so I know it is in fact WB10.

FIXED: Reinstalled WB 10.0.7 again, problem went away.
